Wullie Thornton: Squad Number 3 Date Of Birth: 03/09/76
An absolute pitbull of a full back who joined the club in 1997 and has enjoyed some trophy laden seasons since. Wullie has been a mainstay in the defence since joining and his tough tackling never say die attitude make him a difficult opponent for all wingers to play against.
Incredibly, Wullie has picked up the man of the match award in the past 3 cup finals Windlaw have played in, and seems to produce his best form on the big occasions. Work commitments have curtailed his performances slightly last season, but make no mistake, the pitbull always fights his way back into the team.
He enjoys attacking so much that at times he forgets he’s a defender.
