Windlaw GGPL Secure First League Win
Windlaw got their first league victory with a narrow 3-2 win over a battling Moorpark side at St Margaret Mary's.
After a fairly dull scoreless first half,Wullie Thornton put Windlaw ahead, finishing off a superb flowing move that he initiated with a great finish.
Moorpark equalised from close range before Windlaw moved further ahead with goals from new boy Barry Murtagh and Benny Carey who had amazingly played his second game of the day after playing for Windlaw SSML in the morning.
A late Moorpark goal ensured a frantic finish but Windlaw held on for a deserved win in a game badly
affected by strong winds.
With a squad of 20 players to choose from this was a much better day for the fledgling side who hope to improve on this for the coming games.
The team now have two free weekends before returning to action on 6th October.
